I have been shooting various weapons from longbow to .50 sniper rifle from the age of 6 at many different locations. I currently have over 60,000 acres at my dissposal to shoot over and use avariety of weapons, mainly rimy, 12 and air rifle. I have had several different crossbows over the years including bowtech, barnett and hornet to name a few, but the bow i ordered from blades and bows is excellent value for money. I ordered an Armex Titan compound crossbow, and within 24 hrs it was at my doorstep!!! excellent!!! the bow kit is A1 and i shot 8 bolts this morning, 4 armex alloy and 4 of my cs carbon express hunters, the alloys are ok and pretty accurate but the carbon express were grouping at 50mm out to 70 yds!!! after half an hour of zeroing. Please be guaranteed that this bow is an excellent adition to anybodys armoury, i will be upgrading the scope and rail and using carbon arrows but thats just my opinion, thank you blades and bows, well done.

I'm not a reviewie type person but I wanted to make sure I wrote one for this, There's an old saying "if it's too good to be true, then it probably is" This is what I thought of this deal as the closest price anywhere I could find this bow was £399+, but I went for it anyway, and I'm really glad I did...this bow is fantastic, It's clearly a more expensive bow than the price reflects and affter talking to Nick from B&B's he explained how he could sell a limited number of them at this daft price away from the car-boot sale hehe, I would advise anyone who is hesitating wether or not to buy this, GO AHEAD there's only a few left and when they are gone...I've been looking round the net for weeks and I have not seen a crossbow offer that can come anywhere close to this deal and I doubt I will. The bow itself is very very solid, It's a truly well engineered piece of kit that would stand up against bows costing over double the price and more, the power of it is insane and It's so nice to get a bow that comes with Bolts, Shoulder strap and Scope not to mention the quivver, the first shot I took with it was into my regular target, I should have manually eyeballed it instead of just using the scope, I would have noticed it was going to miss the target by a few inches and could have corrected for it, but it went through my 1" Oak front door, glanced off the porch pillar and settled in the front passenger side wing of my car....Ooops!...I must admit though, the part of the door it went through is one of the panels and is only 5/8" thick...still if you were abroad hunting with it I imagine it will take down anything and probably the one stood behind it too...So be warned when you shoot it, this is not your average crossbow, and allow for the extra power in the construction of your target and backstop. The company themselves have impressed the hell out of me and I don't say that lightly, a couple of my bolts had gotten bent in transit, I know that because EVERY one that goes out is physically checked by the owner before it goes out to ensure everything is there and in good working order, I called them up and spoke to Nick to let him know about my dellema and without hesitation he appologised and sent not just a couple of replacement bolts but a whole new packet of 5, I felt a bit sorry for him because at this price that has to be his profit gone out of this sale?, but that is what I call A1 customer service and is one of the reasons I felt compelled to write a review. The only reason I gave them 5 stars is that they don't let you give 6. I also spoke to the lady whose name has escaped me,I want to say Debbie or Liz but it may not be either, anyway she was so nice and very knowledgeable, it is just a really nice company to deal with and they have certainly got a loyal customer for life with me, I definately reccomend the Crossbow and more importantly the company too. All the best Boshy....p.s. sorry It's a bit long winded, i told you I don't write reviews...

After using the bow for a while and now It's settling in, along with me getting used to it, there is one thing that's cropped up that I feel is worth mentioning...It's the trigger mechanism...I have shot many many rifles, pistols and Crossbows in my time but unless they are pretty crap the trigger systems usually don't stick out enough to be worth a mention...but this one sticks out because it is so smooth, for a bow with such massive power stored up while cocked, I expected it to be like the others Iv'e used in the past, a little hard to squeeze and can be jerky...I don't know what Armex have done but they have really got it right here and created a very light and smooth trigger, which can make a big difference especially when shooting over 50yds. It's just one more thing I thought folks may like to know before they buy it...One last thing...I took it round to my mates today he has a lovely 30yrd ondoor range for bows, xbows and air rifles and we shot it through his chronograph to see exactly how fast it was throwing out the 20" alluminium heavy duty bolts that came with it...It says on the box that it can fire up to 380fps, but we clocked this one at 390-392fps...although that was indoors with Airbourne playing on the CD...we shot some through his older chroni too for comparision and they were clocked at between 388 to 390...so all in all the power is up there like they advertise, some companies tell little white lies about things like that, or base it on "perfect" conditions that you will probably never be able to re-create...this was with the "stock" bolts that came with it, with some nice zippy carbon bolts you may be able to improve on that a little depending on what CD your playing at the time...happy shooting Boshy...

checked out a few crossbows , this was a very good price delivery was fast and trouble free , fits together like a glove . had a query with cocking the crossbow, spoke to nick he showed me the error i was making ,now i am rocking and rolling . only down side is it's heavy!, but apart from that it's a fantastic crossbow well worth the money , I would recommend B+B for very good customer service, quality equipment ,fantastic prices many thanks ....
