Well where do I begin ? Prompt delivery as usual, and the crossbow itself was easy to assemble (you will need help with the string). Only fired a test shot so far as I have only had it 4 hours but it seems nice and powerfull as the bolt hit the shed door and stayed there.. For the price, I think this is a very good intro to archery. After I get used to this I may purchase a more powerfull one.

A lovely compact little crossbow, as per the other reviewers, it took two of us to string. Easy to load, easy to shoot, has a dovetailed rail if you want to mount anything fancy on it. Have just ordered the 50lb as well to play with. Would recommend to anyone wanting a pistol crossbow.

Cracking little crossbow. Very easy to assemble although you need to remember you need 2 people to string it. its quite powerfull and extemely accurate once you set the sights up excellent value for money. The service from blades and bows is second to none, informative helpfull and extremely quick delivery.

This item is a lot of fun, and I'd recommend it to anyone with a garden big enough to utilise it. Of course, you get what you pay for, so this isn't really a 'hunting' crossbow (I imagine it would kill a fox at a stretch) but since I don't hunt this didn't phase me. It is prone to sabotaging itself, but with a little improvisation it's easy enough to fix and I imagine you could modify it if you were that way inclined. About the issue of stringing - I found it easy enough to string by myself once I'd figured out some strategies. You can do it by using your body for leverage from a sitting position. Since I'm good with my toes, I managed to use my feet to hold the bow in place while I used my hands to actually string it (although I wouldn't recommend that particular technique...) Definitely worth buying.

My 1st visit to Blades and Bows & never owned a crossbow before, but it seems very well made. I had originally ordered to 50lb one, not realising that there was an 80lb crossbow. I phoned up and my order was changed for me with no fuss and at 8.50 am the next day, it arrived. I was so impressed I put in another (much larger) order the same day! It didn't take long for Blades and Bows to become my favorite online shop. If only everything in life was as simple and straight forward!!!! Thanks Blades and Bows.

Excellent delivery and communication, product better quality than expected for the price, will use again.

I think the bow is great fun, the trigger though is so hard to pull that it is impossible to be really accurate, also, the string has worn out in just a few days of use. i know they are cheap to replace, however, changing them is a bind.

a very good crossbow for the price, i lost all the free bolts apart from one straight away when i was shooting it in my garden :P but luckily i got some extra ones witch i suggest if u do buy this you should get some ! it stuck about a cm into my shed so its pritty powerfull close up . good for killing zombies but it takes a little time to reload, overall a great weapon for any situation!

Excellent price, service and delivery in less than 24 hours. Cant ask for more than that. The bow is surprisingly good. It is small, lightweight but packs a punch. A child could cock it thanks to the lever cocking mechanism providing mechanical advantage. Once cocked (it is not self cocking despite the name), it will shoot a 6" aluminium bold into dead oak to about 1 inch. It has stopping power. The bolts are also quite good in that they don't bend on every shot. I have shot about 200 bolts through this, many of them several times and i only have one slightly damaged fletch. The string is beginning to fray, this is in part to it being misaligned when i first strung it, care must be taken to ensure that the string is fully lopped over the knock ends or you'll get too much friction, damage the string and loose power. The overall build quality is sufficient but i doubt that this bow will last long, it is quite flimsy and cheap. The only major issue i have with this is the trigger is very tight and you have to pull on it quite hard which has an effect on accuracy. I am told that they have improved on this with the next model. I recommend this bow for quick shooting, zombie slaying, and if in a country where bow hunting were legal, you could take rabbits with one of these.

This is the first crossbow I've ever fired let alone owned so I don't really have anything to compare it to. But I am very pleased with it! It was easy to assemble(not sure why you would need 2 people to attatch the string! Maybe I'm an ape!)and it's comfortable and easy to use. Even my wife who I thought would be horrified by it(didn't tell her I was getting it!) enjoyed using it. For the money I think it's a bargain! It's relatively well made and looks like it will last. I will definitely be purchasing a more expensive one from here soon. It's fun!
