Baby Philadelphia Derringer Pistol
USA, 1850.
This is the same percussion cap model as the pistol used to assasinate American President Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865).
The well-known actor John Wilkes Booth shot the President in the back of the head whilst he was watching a play at Ford's Theatre in Washington D.C.
Wilkes intention was to rally the Confederate troops as the American Civil war was drawing to a close, it was just five days after the Commanding General of the Confederate Army had surrended.
This historically accurate replica pistol weighs approx .3 kg and measures approx 17.5cm
