Cold Steel machetes come from the factory with a utility edge for heavy duty cutting but can be easily DIY sharpened to a razor edge should you wish .

Our Latin Style Machetes are available with eighteen, twenty one or twenty four inch blade lengths. With their non-slip, shock absorbing rubber handles, they are perfect in almost every environment from the jungle to the forest or even on the farm.
Now available is our new survival style sheath which has added storage pockets! Our machete sheaths are made of tough, black cordura nylon and feature taped and riveted seams, slotted back, double retaining straps, safety tow (where appropriate) and a generous sized belt loop that will even acccomodate a GI pistol belt.

Usual fantastic customer service from Blades and Bows, my 24" machete was delivered within 48 hours (over a bank holiday!!). This is the longest in the Latin Machete range, almost a short sword, and good value for money. Delivered with a working edge, 30 minutes work will put a seriously sharp edge on it, though by their nature machete's dont keep an edge very long and require frequent re-sharpening. Its length means it is quite heavy on the wrist to use, but the same length means it is devastatingly effective on the undergrowth! I fitted a lanyard on mine to enable a more secure grip, but as usual with Cold Steel products this machete is ready to go right out of the box.

exelent service as usual recieved next day although the machete comes very dull i purchaced the puck oil stone to sharpen this beast and after ruffly around 3 hours wht a difference mines is now razzor sharp deffenetly not a toy exellent purchase thanks again b+b 24"lattin

very good quality machete, ideal for de limbing on felled trees but if used at full stretch or high for prolonged periods soon gets heavy which makes it hard to work in confined areas, does work better if the blade is given a longer taper to edge. Good tool .
