With the DF8 Sharpener you get perfect 30 degree edges quickly and easily every time. There are no special skills needed to sharpen all types of knives and axes. The specially curved diamond coated fingers replicate the swipe across a traditional honing steel. One swipe through the DF8 equals eight swipes across a regular steel. Once you use this sharpener blades almost never need regrinding because the edges never get rounded like they can with other honing and sharpening steels. Small table top, compact design.

after this item arrived i sharpened my entire cooking knife set 18 knifes in total in no more than 30 mins. its very simple to use just open up place on a table and drag the blade across. Now after i did my chef's knifes i decided to try a Gerber USMC issue blade (i recieved in afghanistan) this knife has literaly been through the wars and was in desperate need of a good sharpen. its now razor sharpe and with no burs which was done in under 10 mins. if a quick and simple knife sharpner is what your after that will comfortably sharpen any blade you try this is the unit for you. I purchased this product to sharpen and keep my hunting knives/ fishing knives fit for purpose, first impression was that the unit was light, compact, easy to use and easy to stowe/ transport. Upon first use I was vey much impressed by the sharp uniform apex of the cutting edge produced along the length of the blade. Excellent!
