German WWII Police Bayonet
These knives are popularly known as bayonets but they are actually dress sidearms of the Schutzpolizei or the Third Reich Municipal Police as they do not have the fittings for mounting onto a rifle.
The original sidearms were mostly made by Carl Eickhorn or Alcoso Solingen.
The replicas feature a synthetic stag horn grip mounted with the Police insignia.
The pommel is in the shape of an eagles head and the cross guard is decorated with oak leaves both have a brass finish.
The sheath is finished in black faux leather and brass fittings.
This extremely attractive sidearm replica measures approx 455cm (17 7/8") in its sheath
and the stainless steel ornamental blade measures approx 288mm (11 2/8")
