Late 19th century highland officers dirk
This dirk has been styled on surviving historical military dirks of the late 19th century.
The oak hilt has been carved in an attractive basket weave pattern and decorated with small brass nails.
The dirk measures approx 19 1/2" (495mm) and the EN45 sprung steel blade measures approx 14" (356mm)
The pommel cap and ferrule protect the hilt against damage and unlike dirks from previous centuries the knife and fork are carried one above the other. This style of dirk is still in use to the present day.
This dirk would be ideal as a re-enactment prop.
The oak hilt is coloured black with silver coloured fittings.
