1065 hand forged high carbon steel  blade

Real rayskin with cotton wrapped handle , full tang ,double pinned and fully stripable for maintenance .

Supplied with maintenance kit , spare tsuba ,

display stand , Cotton sword bag and free velvet lined presentation box .

Blade measures approx 28" (711mm)

Handle measures  approx 10 1/2"  (267mm)

Whole sword in scabbard measures approx 41" (1041mm)

This is a very nice sword. Having purchased other budget blades, the first thing that stuck me about this piece was the more realistic-looking fittings. With the exception of the seppa (which look a bit plasticy but can be replaced for a few quid) and the thin tsuka-ito, the overall look and feel is one of reasonable value. For the price, one cannot really complain. Especially when considering that the sword came with a stand, oiling kit, attractive display box and a replacement tsuba should you want to get rid of the honourable saru that guard your hand (the tsuba mounted on the blade out-of-the-box features a troop of monkeys).

A fantastic item, so pleased, i have wanted one for an age and read the reviews of cheaper swords which said thet were flimsy and not very good quality. This is the exact opposite!!! Fantastic sword in a great quality case!!. i opened it with some trepidation but, god, that was unfounded, absolutely brilliant, great quality sword. My only minor niggle would be no instructions on how to clean and maintain, but hey, thats what the internet is for!! cheers!!
