Sweeney Todds Cut-throat Razor
Sweeney Todd, the demon barber of Fleet street was originally a character in a macabre Victorian story called 'a string of pearls' written in about 1846.
He has turned into an urban legend as some people say he was a real person and others insist not.
The gist of the story was that wealthy customers patronising his Fleet Street barbers shop would be murdered by means of a rigged barbers chair/ trapdoor.
After falling through to the cellar, Todd would cut their throats with his razor.
The story includes his side-kick Mrs Lovett who assisted him in destroying the evidence by making the bodies into pies in her bakers shop which was accessed though a tunnel from his cellar.
Mrs Lovett was eventually poisoned by Sweeney Todd who was himself caught and hung.
Our knife is a very good replica of the cut-throat used in the 2007 film Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street starring Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham-Carter.

It measures approx 10 1/4" (262mm) open
and 7 1/4" (185mm) closed.
Blade 4 3/4" (122mm)
Made of stainless steel.
The blade is quite sharp but if you wish to use it as a stage prop it could be dulled.

box was abit beat up, but the product was good. nice and heavy and the blade was sharp but as this would be good to use to cut hair, i dont think this is possible...a good buy doh

The blade is very nice, I have been look for it for a long time. I think it is exactly the same as the one in film ... but no one cares... it look close enough to me. I really like the finish and weight, it give you a very solid feel. For £12, I think it well worth the price. I don't think you can use the blade for shave, but at the end of the day it is a replicas. Any chance for make a sterling silver cut-throat razor just like the real one?

Nice replica, and sharp blade with a lovely finish. Only problem is the opening is a bit tougher than thought but was solved with a bit of lube. Blades and bows you have impressed again.

Just what I wanted, especially after the place I went to look in America ended up nearly £100 down the drain with nothing to show, but then found this place, ordered it just fine and within 2 days in my hands Fantastic and I love it Thanks guys

Great cut throat razor replica, excellent size, good solid blade and nice metal handle. Great prop for Halloween/show or just as a display/collectors item. Even though it isn't 'razor sharp' the blade is as sharp as any normal replica knife so would need to be dulled down before use as a prop. The handle isn't as dark as it looks in the picture and instead is a lovely 'silverish' metal with dark shades in the engraved details (which are wood like).

Excellent replica. Nice heavy feel to it. Well built. Easy to dull with a grindstone (which I'm glad I did). Only difference is my razor has an all silver look, not black and silver as the image suggests, but still gorgeous looking and was the hit of the halloween party.
