If you are a new customer please make sure to check your e-mail (especially your junk/spam folder) in case we contact you for proof of age. Without proof that the customer is 18 years old or over the order will be cancelled and refunded after 14 working days.
All terms and conditions mentioned here are in addition to your statutory rights.
Blades and Bows Limited are a specialist mail order site for use by responsible adults only. We will not sell any restricted item to anyone under the age of 18 years.
Anyone purchasing any product from Blades and Bows Ltd. should be aware of any laws concerning possession and use of such items and should abide by such laws.
We do not condone or promote anti-social, illegal or dangerous behaviour with any items purchased from Blades and Bows Ltd.
Blades and Bows do not accept responsibility for the misuse of products displayed on or purchased from this site.
Placing an order
If, by a typing error or wrong pricing information from suppliers an item or postage charge is displayed at an incorrect price, we will send an e-mail to the purchaser stating the correct price and asking for confirmation of the order before we process any card details. If the purchaser is unwilling to pay the correct price then Blades and Bows Ltd. reserves the right to cancel the transaction immediately without any liability to the purchaser.

Shopper Transaction Security Security is probably one of the most significant concerns for both the shopper and the retailer during an online transaction. In reality an online transaction is probably more secure than a card transaction in a shop or conducted over the telephone or by fax, as the information transmitted online is highly encrypted using complicated logarithm combinations.
The WorldPay payment system uses a combination of both established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. Furthermore, our public web servers are certified by Thawte, a public Certificate Authority, ensuring that both the shopper and retailer can have confidence that nobody can impersonate WorldPay to obtain confidential information.
Transaction EncryptionThe transfer of the purchase details from the retailers site to WorldPay are encapsulated using our own encrypted and digitally-signed protocol. This uses a combination of standard methods such as PGP, RSA and MD5 to ensure that the information passed is secure and tamper-proof.
Data Storage Data storage on WorldPay systems, and the communication between WorldPay and the worldwide banking networks, is regularly audited by the banking authorities to ensure a secure transaction environment. We also ensure that we stay up-to-date with the latest versions of any third-party code we use, and continually review our own proprietary code.
In addition, you know that your session is in a secure encrypted environment when you see https:// in the web address, and/or when you see the locked padlock symbol alongside the URL.
So when buying through our site, you can be sure that you are completely protected.
Certain debit cards and pre-pay credit cards can be issued to under 18's so we cannot use the use of a credit card as proof of the age of the customer, therefore we will make background checks to verify that our customer is of an age of 18 years or over.
We can normally do this without needing to contact the card holder by using the Electoral Roll. We use www.192.com.
To ensure that your order is dealt with quickly please ensure that you provide us with your full name (no nicknames or initials) and please ensure that you enter the correct address that your payment card is registered to, as your billing details. Failure to supply the correct registered card address may result in the order being cancelled.
If a prospective customer is not listed on the public version of the Electoral Roll then we will contact the aforementioned by e-mail and request proof of age. Please see our Important checkout information
Your payment will be taken at the time of the order being placed and if the age checks are not satisfied after 7 days your order will be cancelled and fully refunded.
Blades and Bows Ltd. reserve the right to refuse sale of goods to anyone we believe to be under the age of 18 years.
When an item is in stock, as is normally the case and the necessary age checks have taken place and been successful, it will usually be despatched within 48 hours of receiving the order (excluding weekends and bank holidays). If there is any delay in despatching the order or the item is temporarily out of stock we will notify the purchaser by e-mail.
If a delivery is refused we reserve the right to remove the cost of the return delivery from the refund. In the case of Parcelforce this is £15.00 and Royal Mail £8.00.
We despatch larger items by Parcelforce.
Smaller items are sent by Royal Mail, usually by first class tracked delivery.
Whilst we will always try to ensure the parcel reaches its destination as quickly as possible, we will not accept responsibility for any delay caused by Royal Mail or Parcelforce.
All items despatched by the courier are tracked and in the unlikely event of the parcel being lost, we will send out a replacement after 4 days of the expected delivery date.
Any item sent by Royal Mail is not officially missing until it has been out of circulation for 10 working days. Items will be replaced or refunded only after we receive confirmation from the Royal Mail that the item is lost.
If you miss your delivery Royal Mail should post a card through your letterbox should you be out and you can ether contact Royal Mail to arrange re-delivery or after 24 hours you can collect the item from your local Royal Mail depot. Royal Mail will hold the item for 10 days and if it is not collected the item will be returned to us. A re-delivery charge will be incured by the purchaser before we re-send any returned item.
Depending on what information you enter on your order, Parcelforce will either send a text message or email with your tracking number and the estimated day of delivery, this is usually sent the evening before the delivery attempt. If you are not in when delivery is attempted, the parcel will either be taken to your local Post Office where you will be able to collect it after 24 hours (please make sure you take both proof of address and identity when you collect your parcel) or if the parcel is large it will be taken back to the depot and delivery will be attempted the next working day. Contact details for Parcel Force will be on the card left so if re- delivery next day is a problem then contact them ASAP to arrange a suitable date. If Parcelforce cannot get access to your property or the address details you have given are inaccurate and the Parcel is returned to us the order total will be refunded minus the original delivery charge or a re-delivery charge will be incured by the purchaser before we dispatch the item again.
After placing your order keep an eye on your emails (spam box too) as you will get a dispatched email stating the method of dispatch.
If any special delivery requirements are necessary please e-mail us before placing your order. We can send items by Royal Mail or Parcel Force to arrive on Saturday, but it does incur a much greater delivery charge.
Due to the varying laws of different countries and the very limited courier options (due to most couriers treating swords and knives etc as restricted items) we will no longer dispatch items outside the UK.
Blades and Bows Ltd. offer an unconditional money back guarantee within 14 days of the product being received.
This applies only when;
The item is returned unused and with all packaging complete and intact. This means that no interior bags can be opened and no damaged boxes, no labels or writing applied to the product boxes. We require the item to be returned to us exactly as it was when dispatched.
If an item is returned to us in a state other than described above we will refuse a refund of the product and the customer will be liable for any return postage costs.
Unless faulty or damaged in transit, live blade swords will only be refunded if returned to us absolutely as supplied i.e. factory fresh. If a sword shows signs of being handled /used we reserve the right to refuse a refund.
The purchaser is responsible for the cost of returning the goods to Blades and Bows Ltd. and for the risk of damage in transit. If the goods are lost or damaged in transit Blades and Bows Ltd. reserves the right to refuse a refund and it is the purchaser’s responsibility to seek compensation from the courier. The purchaser must ensure the returned item is adequately insured to the items value.
We will not refund any postage costs incurred where an item is returned for any reason other than its being faulty.
If in the unlikely event an item is faulty;
If the item is found to be faulty on delivery the customer must report the fault to us either by e-mail or telephone within seven days of receiving the item. We may then ask for photographic proof or for the item to be returned to us.
If the returned item is confirmed to be faulty on examination by Blades and Bows Ltd the return postage will be refunded to the purchaser’s card to a value no more than the original postage charged.
The faulty item will either be replaced, at no extra cost to the purchaser or a full refund given, whichever is preferable to the purchaser.
Replacement parts may sometimes be supplied instead of an exchange, whichever is appropriate.
If on examination the returned item is found to be not faulty by Blades and Bows Ltd the customer will be liable for the return postage costs.

All prices and postage charges listed on the website include VAT at the current rate of 20%
